Drive Medical has completed a significant portion of its restructuring plan to integrate DeVilbiss Healthcare into Drive. Combined, the organizations have over 2,000 employees worldwide and distribute their products in over 80 countries.

In July 2015, Drive, a growing manufacturers of durable medical equipment, acquired DeVilbiss, a brand in the respiratory and sleep categories in the healthcare industry. Drive and DeVilbiss will continue to operate independently until the two companies are seamlessly integrated in the Americas. Upon completion of the integration, which is expected to be completed by the end of October 2015, the new company will be known as Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare Inc. In the rest of the world, Drive and DeVilbiss will continue to operate as independent entities.

“The plan from the beginning was to bring together the best and brightest talent from both organizations and to return the DeVilbiss brand to the leadership position it once held,” says Harvey P. Diamond, Drive CEO, in a release. “Over the next few months, we will be focused on the operational aspects of the integration plan with a renewed focus on innovation and the development of new products. We will continue to apprise our business partners of our integration progress and timing.”

Once the two companies are integrated in the Americas, customers will be able to seamlessly order both Drive and DeVilbiss products together on one purchase order, through a centralized customer service support center, with distribution from a single location, according to a company spokesperson.
