ProSomnus Sleep Technologies will be debuting its ProSomnus [PH] Precision Herbst-style Sleep Apnea Device for patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) at the 2019 American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine meeting in June.

The device qualifies for Medicare reimbursement. The Pricing, Data Analysis, and Coding (PDAC) Contractor has reviewed, verified, and approved the Device for Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code E0486.

“The ProSomnus [PH] Device and coding assignment gives prescribing physicians and dentist providers a new, comfortable, and effective precision medicine option for treating Medicare patients with OSA,” says Len Liptak, CEO of ProSomnus Sleep Technologies, in a release.

The ProSomnus [PH] Device is designed to address the rapidly increasing Medicare population with OSA.

The precision Herbst-style sleep apnea device features a slim, smooth, low profile design and other innovations that are intended to make the device comfortable and easy to use, while conforming to the E0486 coding requirements.
