Together, Airway Management and VirtuOx introduce VirtuOx Professional Edition, a Web-based patient management system for the providers of oral appliance therapy (OAT). The system does not use software and is accessible via an Internet connection from any PC. It includes oximeter screening, home sleep testing (HST), patient demographic and sleep record storage, as well as medical billing for oral appliances.
Airway Management and VirtuOx will debut the system (www.virtuoxpro.com) at the 21st Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dental Medicine in Boston, June 7-9, 2012.
All patient information, including demographics, physician notes, and oximeter and sleep test reports, is conveniently stored electronically in individual portals with administrative access being controlled by the subscriber/provider. A medical billing option will be available, including key services such as patient claim submission and follow-up to Medicare and commercial insurance, as well as in-network provider status applications.
