ResMed introduces the QuietAir diffuser vent elbow, which, compared to ResMed’s previous design, reduces noise by 89% and produces a 70% gentler exhaled airflow. It is compatible with ResMed’s latest full face masks: AirFit F20 with silicone cushion and AirTouch F20 with memory foam cushion.
“With this technology, our full face masks’ noise levels are well below ambient noise in the bedroom,” says ResMed CEO Mick Farrell, in a release. “We are providing patients and their bed partners with the peace and quiet they deserve for better sleep.”
Where can I buy one?
I would like to know where I can buy this vent. I really need it, and I’m sure so do others.
I’m looking for the “air fit F30” size Small.
The sleep study nurse said it’s a hybrid mask
I have serious doubts this has the same airflow. Seems my nose closes off to this one more than f10. Maybe QuietAir technology is “no air flow” technology yet on the website it shows same airflow as f10. I don’t believe it.
Purchased the f30 a week ago. The problem I have is this airflow technology is not hardly quiet and disturbing me not able to fall asleep. My seal is good. My Resmed quattro mask is super quiet. The only sound I hear if from the S9 which is very minimal. Please, what’s up with this mask? Right now only positive is its comfort feel.
I need a difuser for a Philips Amara mask
Hi, I have one of these but it has suddenly become very noisy. It’s been fantastic up until now. I cannot see any reason why it has suddenly changed. I have cleaned it thoroughly but no improvement. Any thoughts?
Same problem…. it occurred immediately after I washed it. I am wondering if water caused problems with it.
I washed mine and it went all noisy. The problem turned out to be that the little silicon flaps were sticking and they weren’t really properly dry. Once everything was really dry it all worked fine and has done since.
This quite vent seems like “no vent.” The exhaust air traveling back through the supply air hose and is reused. That is as bad design. When you feel around the vent, you can NOT detect any exist air. Something is seriously wrong.
I have the same issue.. feels like when zi wake up I’m been swimming or have plugged sinuses.
I had a Mirage Quttro loved it Dr pushed this on me Hate it. I actually drilled 4 …1/32 holes and I am getting a better rest now. And mark is not noisy.
I have this Face mask. And it gives me the feeling I’m exhaling the old cow. I do not feel any air being released. I may have ruined my face mask. But I am not getting a better night sleep. And Imy sinus and head doesnt feel like I be under wstet.
I drill a pattern of 4 1/32 ho look holes. .S.all amour of air flow is now expelled when I breath out. The setting are corrected to compensate for the discharge. Like I said I getting better rep and results. I had a Marage full face mask before. Never had this issue.
I have the same problem…Where did you drill the holes and how many?
Now my question is can I disassemble it to be able to clean it properly. I can see that where it swivels you could force it off the lugs but I don’t want to risk breaking it.
There is NO WAY this is allowing enough exhaled air to exit. This is dangerous in my opinion since the CO2 we exhale can build up in the mask. PLEASE change this terrible design! Is there anywhere I can get the older elbow with the holes open on the air diffuser portion of this elbow?
Also, the RT told me NOT to wash this elbow because the mesh liner in the air diffuser portion will plug exit air if not completely dry!
Thank you,
