Circadiance has launched its SleepWeaver Advance Pediatric soft cloth CPAP mask in the United States. The pediatric mask provides positive pressure ventilation therapy to children without causing facial sores and ulcers, the company says.

Circadiance recently received FDA clearance to market the new mask in the United States after launching the product in Europe several months ago.

“We are excited to be able to provide the same comfort and convenience of our innovative soft cloth respiratory mask technology to younger PAP patients,” says David Groll, CEO of Circadiance, in a release.

The Advance Pediatric soft cloth CPAP mask is indicated for use in 2-7 year olds. It debuted at the SLEEP 2016 meeting.

Circadiance initiated a successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo and received grants from organizations like the New England Pediatric Device Consortium during the development of the mask. “We want to thank our supporters who share our vision to offer innovative pediatric medical devices. They helped make the launch of Advance Pediatric possible,” says Jim Seles, vice president of sales and marketing at Circadiance.
