Huron County, Ohio-based independent not-for profit community health system Fisher-Titus welcomes Basem Haddad, MD, as the medical director of the Fisher-Titus Sleep Center.

“We are pleased to welcome Dr Haddad to the Fisher-Titus Sleep Center,” says Brent Burkey, MD, president & CEO of Fisher-Titus, in a release. “Dr Haddad’s experience in sleep medicine and pulmonary medicine will allow him to effectively serve as the medical director of the sleep center. He is bringing advanced expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders to our community.”

Haddad is board certified in pulmonary disease, critical care, and sleep medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is also certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine.

The Fisher-Titus Sleep Center will also now have a dedicated clinic space for seeing patients at 278 Benedict Avenue, Ste 950, Medical Park Building 3 on the Fisher-Titus Campus in addition to the sleep lab at 26 Executive Dr.

Haddad has experience in pulmonary medicine, sleep medicine, and critical care medicine with Premier Physicians Centers in Westlake and is currently section chief of pulmonary medicine at several hospitals. Prior to pursuing his fellowship in 2003, he worked as a hospitalist at the Cleveland Clinic’s Lutheran Hospital and an internist at MetroHealth’s West Park location.

A graduate of Damascus University, Haddad completed his fellowship in pulmonary and sleep medicine at the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and his fellowship in critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh. Haddad also completed a residency in internal medicine at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Haddad is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
