Wake Up Narcolepsy Presents $30,000 Grant to Thomas Scammell, MD

On September 27, 2016, Monica Gow, Wake Up Narcolepsy (WUN) board member, presented a $30,000 unrestricted grant to Thomas Scammell, MD. Scammell is physician and associate professor, Department of Neurology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School.

With funding from Wake Up Narcolepsy, the Scammell Lab has begun to examine the brain mechanisms through which positive emotions increase cataplexy.
