In an effort to identify some of the millions of undiagnosed sleep apnea sufferers, Advanced Brain Monitoring Inc (ABM) has launched a new apnea screening Web site. The Web site, [removed]ARES Quest[/removed], is designed for both physicians and patients to predict OSA risk and severity using a screening tool called ARES (Apnea Risk Evaluation System).

Physicians will be able to utilize the secure-portal screening tool during office visits with patients. Patients can input information from home to be confidentially reviewed by a clinician. Results of the screening and risk levels are sent back to the patient online through the ARES Quest Web site.

“The ARES Questionnaire report includes a prediction of OSA severity, allowing clinicians to triage patients, especially those scheduled to undergo general anesthesia or sedation,” says Dan Levendowski, president of ABM.

The Quest program also allows sleep labs to enroll their referral sites to conduct obstructive sleep apnea screenings by questionnaire while monitoring usage and prevalence by referral sources.
