In 2019, elementary schoolers will start their day almost an hour earlier, at 7:50 am, and middle and high schoolers will begin more than an hour later, at 8:40 am, reports IndyStar.com.

That would give Noblesville elementary schools the earliest start among the four largest districts in the county — more than an hour before Westfield Washington and Hamilton Southeastern Schools’ current start times — and the latest start time for middle and high schools.

But the conversations have left some parents who are worried about daycare and sports schedules asking, why now?
