The Three Rivers Ambulance Authority has partnered with the state of Indiana to distribute kits designed to help infants sleep safely, according to The Journal Gazette.

These kits contain a portable crib, fitted sheet, wearable blanket, a pacifier and safe sleep educational materials.

These kits will be at TRAA beginning Monday.

“You never know when a situation will arise in the middle of the night,” said Rob Smith, chief operating officer of TRAA, in a statement. “For example, if a grandparent has to take emergency custody of an infant at 11 p.m., they may not have anywhere that the child can safely sleep and have no way of getting a crib.”
