Florida has great weather much of the year, but a study shows getting your ZZZs in the sunshine state may not be so great, reports WJHG.

One reason that could affect this is tourism, Florida’s biggest industry. With it comes more jobs that can require shifting work schedules.

“A shift worker that works 3 [p.m.] to 11 [p.m.] and then three weeks later, you know we have businesses town, that three weeks later they go to next shift,” said Sleep Lab Supervisor at Bay Medical Sacred Heart, Pamella Taylor.

Changing shifts can make it hard for some to keep their schedules balanced. “It’s difficult to coordinate that and to get the full eight hours of sleep,” said Taylor. Some locals just find the stress of the season can affect sleep.
