A British study aims to find out if sleep breaks could help reduce fatigue and promote improved concentration among police officers, as indicated on a Telegraph news report.

A spokesman for the College of Policing – the professional body of police in England and Wales, which took over from the National Policing Improvement Agency in 2013 – said it was working to reduce instances of fatigue among officers.

The study will be discussed by top officers later this year, with a view to piloting the scheme in several police forces before possibly being rolled out nationwide.
