The demand to get a sleep study appointment at Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater is so high, the hospital is now doubling the size of the center, reports KSTP.

“Our lifestyles are changing, our eating habits are changing,” said Dr. Ucer.

Ucer believes one of the biggest reasons behind the growing search for a better snooze is the country’s rising obesity rate.
However, he says there are other signs of poor sleep to watch out for, too.

“Feeling tired when you wake up or not feeling rested during the daytime. Having to take a nap, having insomnia.  Having to take a sleeping pill.  Those are all flags telling us that there’s something going on,” he said.  “It’s a hidden epidemic.”
