Dr Ryan Soose, of Franklin Park, was named the 2016 Shaler Area Distinguished Alumnus, reports TRIBLive.
Soose is certified in sleep medicine and otolaryngology, or dealing with diseases of the ear, nose and throat and related structures of the head and neck. In doing so, he became the second person in the U.S. to be a head and neck surgeon and fully board-certified in sleep medicine, he said.
