Savannah Hughes became the first youth ambassador for the Narcolepsy Network in Jacksonville, reports The Florida Times-Union.

“It got to the point that I was only staying awake for six hours a day and I was skipping meals to take naps and rushing through assignments to get back to sleep,” she said. “It took a toll on my self-esteem and I felt exhausted no matter how much sleep I got.”
