A systematic review finds that insomnia medication zolpidem can be used to treat a broad range of neurologic disorders, reports Medical News Bulletin.

Zolpidem was found to be used to treat more than 20 neurologic disorders, mainly disorders of consciousness and movement disorders. It’s measured effects were broad, including improvements in the JFK Coma Recovery Scale, the Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale, and the Burke-Fahn-Marsden Dystonia Rating Scale.
