Allyssa Burns’ mother, Amanda, has made it her mission to raise awareness and understanding of narcolepsy after Allyssa was diagnosed with the neurological sleep disorder, reports the Akron News-Reporter.
Allyssa, a high school senior, has continued living her life as normal as possible, with plans to attend NJC to study nursing.
