Eden Weinmann traveled more than 8,000 miles to get diagnosed and treated by Dennis McCool, MD, a pulmonologist and sleep medicine specialist in Rhode Island, reports NBC 10.

“I saw a total of about nine physicians within one year and five different huge medical centers,” he said. “One in Asia and four famous ones in the U.S.”

But he said no one put the pieces together. So, he went online.

“I was Google searching for insomnia, trouble breathing, (and) scoliosis,” he said.
