Jim Luonuansuu, a Lordstown, Ohio, fire and police dispatcher, has reached a settlement in an employee discrimination lawsuit after being fired for sleeping on the job, as reported by WFML.

A federal court document says that following lengthy discussions, Jim Luonuansuu and the Lordstown Police Department have settled an employment discrimination lawsuit filed by Luonuansuu in September 2013.

Luonuansuu was fired after he was caught sleeping on the job three different times in 2010. However, after Luonuansuu proved that the incidents were due to a medical condition known as sleep apnea, village officials agreed to bring him back if he signed a “last chance agreement”.
