Naps are key to NFL players’ success, reports the Detroit News.

George Winn takes a nap on the floor in front of his locker every Wednesday and Thursday during media availability. The Lions running back rolls a towel and his laundry bag into a pillow, sets his alarm for 12:38 p.m. and hopes reporters don’t wake him when talking to Reggie Bush or other nearby teammates.

Winn’s location for the naps is strange, but an NFL player napping is common. Many of the Lions players take daily naps during their long, tiresome days, and some received the recommendation from Dr. Meeta Singh, who practices sleep medicine at Henry Ford Health System.
