Students of Our Lady of Sorrows Elementary School in Farmington Hills, MI, sponsored a sleep education class for kindergarten students at Taylor Parks Elementary School, as reported by the Farmington Voice.

The Farmington Catholic school’s student council made a donation to fund the Thursday program delivered by Farmington Hills-based nonprofit Sweet Dreamzzz, Inc.

The R.E.M. (Rest. Educate. Motivate.) Sleep Program teaches students how to get a better night’s sleep so that they learn more effectively and succeed academically. The program begins with a 30-minute presentation about the importance of sleep and good hygiene. After the presentation, each child receives a sleep kit containing a blanket, a book, a Sweet Dreamzzz t-shirt, toothbrush and toothpaste.
