Whole You Inc, a Mitsui Chemicals company, today announced the acquisition of oral appliance company Respire Medical, marking the third acquisition since the company’s launch in November 2014. Respire Medical’s products will be rebranded under the Whole You name.

“Respire Medical has experienced a rapid year-over-year growth since its founding and we see a great opportunity to utilize its technology to help those suffering from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring,” says Yasunori Nishiyama, Whole You CEO, in a release. “We are excited to welcome it into the Whole You family. Working together, we will bring to market the next generation of oral devices that will improve the lives of millions.”

Respire Medical was formed in 2010 to meet the needs of doctors and patients in the treatment of OSA and snoring. Its current management team will remain in their leadership roles within the new company structure.

David Walton, Respire Medical CEO, says, “Following our rapid growth since inception, we are thrilled to join Whole You to help propel us to the next phase of our expansion. Over the past five years, we have proudly created a range of oral devices designed to meet different patient needs. Combined with Whole You’s resources and expertise, we will continue to develop industry-leading products and services in the years ahead.”

In addition to Dentca, the CAD/CAM denture company and subsidiary of Whole You, and electronic eyewear technology acquired from PixelOptics and Panasonic Healthcare, Respire Medical contributes to Whole You’s business expansion plans to provide better solutions for those with sensory and physical mobility challenges.
