Writer Guidelines
Following the guidelines below, submit articles for review to Frank Holman at
- Submit articles via e-mail as an MS-Word attachment (.doc).
- Include a brief author's biography (3 to 6 sentences) that includes your contact info (preferably email), current job title, credential abbreviations, where you work, city and state.
- Color photos, illustrations, graphs, etc are welcome. Include full captions with all images. We like to print author photos, so don't hesitate to send a photo of yourself. Send color 300 dpi JPEG images. If photos are large, they can be sized down to increase resolution.
- Use only one space after a period.
- Use AMA style for the references section.
- A copyright agreement must be submitted with all articles.

Plagiarism, as defined by the American Medical Association "is the appropriation of another person's ideas, processes, results, or words without giving appropriate credit."* Plagiarism is serious scientific misconduct and possibly actionable copyright violation. Cite all sources when borrowing ideas or words. It does not matter how much, or how little, information is borrowed, you must cite the source.
