On June 11, “The Oprah Winfrey Show” hosted Sleep Review editorial advisory board member Michael Breus, PhD, for a segment on “Bedtime Essentials for a Good Night’s Sleep.” Breus counseled viewers to make their bedrooms more conducive for sleep with soothing colors, less bright lighting (45-watt light bulbs are sufficient), and a high-quality pillow and mattress. To read a synopsis of Breus’s segment, see the Oprah Web site.
In addition, next month, PBS will record a show called “Beauty Sleep with Dr. Michael Breus,” in a Manhattan studio. Those in the New York City area on July 14, when the taping will take place, are welcome to be a part of the studio audience. To make a reservation, send your name, contact information, occupation, and a few words about your interest in this event to lisa@santafeproductions.com by June 30.
Breus is the author of Good Night: The Sleep Doctor's Four-Week Program to Better Sleep and Better Health, which was published last year.
