In the continuing flow of home testing policies recently released, yet another policy has been issued. The policy from BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois finds, “Unattended portable PSG, home sleep studies or overnight oximetry studies done in the home are considered experimental, investigational and unproven for routine assessment of sleep apnea,” according to the policy.
