SnoreSilencer
Respironics Inc, Murrysville, Pa, introduces the SnoreSilencer™, a heat-and-fit mandibular advancement device, for the reduction or elimination of snoring and/or treatment of OSA. Patients can take it home the same day it is fit. The device features the ability to adjust jaw advancement, without the long waiting period for lab fabrication. The Precision 3 Advancement System uses three separate lower trays, each with a fixed pin setting. This facilitates three different advancement levels.

SomnoMed MAS
The SomnoMed MAS™ from SomnoMed, Denton, Tex, is an effective solution for the majority of patients with mild to moderate OSA who prefer oral appliances to CPAP therapy, and who do not respond to, are not appropriate candidates for, or fail CPAP treatment attempts. The SomnoMed MAS moves the lower jaw forward slightly, which tightens the soft tissues and muscles of the upper airway, preventing obstruction during sleep.
