Restech (Respiratory Technology Corp), San Diego, has been issued US patent number 7,101,341 for real-time sensing of airway pH and other breath chemistries. The US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) now affords protection of Restech’s Dx-pH Measurement System™ technology for measuring the pH of acid reflux in the airway, also referred to as laryngopharyngeal reflux.

Two further patents that protect the pH sensor technology used in the Dx-pH Measurement System have been allowed and are in the process of being issued by the USPTO. Restech has also filed for international patent protection.
