Valley Health System in New Jersey has announced that Stephanie Zandieh, MD, MS, has joined Valley Medical Group as director of The Valley Hospital Pediatric Sleep Disorders and Apnea Center.

“Sleep problems often require a combination of treatment modalities,” says Dr. Stephanie Zandieh. “By collaborating with parents, we can help our patients attain the foundations of good sleep for the rest of their lives as well as treat medical problems that may co-exist.”

Patients may be referred to the Pediatric Sleep Disorders and Apnea Center by their pediatricians or other physicians, or parents may call directly to make an appointment. Dr. Zandieh’s systematic approach to treating sleep disorders includes a medical consultation, evaluation, testing/sleep monitoring, diagnosis, and recommended treatment plan.

Dr. Zandieh is a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. She received her medical degree at Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel, and she completed her residency in pediatrics at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein Medical College in New York City. Dr. Zandieh completed a research fellowship at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences in clinical epidemiology and health services research, and went on to complete two clinical fellowships in pediatric pulmonary and sleep medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Her current research focuses on the evaluation and clinical impact of sleep disorders in children and adolescents.
