Forbes discusses the Rest + Well Blueprint program, which encompasses different approaches to better sleep, at the Lodge at Woodloch in Pennsylvania.

First things first—you need a great bed. Every bed at the Lodge is a new memory foam bed and guests can choose their favorite pillow from the Pillow Menu. Choices include Sleep Number Customizable Pillows, Body Pillows and buckwheat pillows. Rooms are kept nice and dark with blackout drapes, and guests can also request a light therapy box, among other guest-friendly items from the Sleep Menu. The Lodge at Woodloch is the only property I have encountered that understand that the glow of those digital clocks can be annoying and which offers an alternative “traditional” alarm clock.

Guests with sleep issues can meet with the on-site herbalist, who after a brief consultation can recommend a host of herbs for a restful sleep, including some lesser known remedies such as hops, and Cleary sage. Valerian is a classic and can be gathered in the resort’s garden.
