Starting high school later to give students more time to sleep isn’t so easy, administrators tell the Chicago Tribune.

“Any kind of change is hard. This is very complex,” said Daniel Levin, associate director of pediatric sleep medicine at Children’s National Health System in Washington, D.C.

He recently helped oversee the shift to later start times in Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia, a district of 186,785 students. The switch took about 15 years to plan.
