Atlanta-based full-service law firm Taylor English Duma LLP has expanded its Health Care Practice group by adding Daniel B. Brown and Sarah K. Browning. Brown and Browning join Taylor English veterans Scott L. Duma, Craig D. Apolinsky, and Gail E. Kinney. Brown and Browning bring a combined 30 years of experience representing clients on transactional matters and advising on the legal and regulatory aspects associated with the operation of healthcare and healthcare-related businesses.

Brown is an experienced corporate and healthcare lawyer representing a wide range of health industry clients in regulatory, corporate, franchising, and financing matters. He brings an established practice consisting of physician practices, diagnostic centers, durable medical equipment suppliers, dental practices, telemedicine providers, reference laboratories, ambulatory surgical centers, and medical device manufacturers, among others.

Brown regularly assists clients in structuring their transactions and operations compliant with the Stark, Anti-Kickback, HIPAA, Civil Monetary Penalties, and other applicable government and third party payor requirements. Brown specializes in sleep medicine and durable medical equipment suppliers, and is a frequent speaker and author in this field. He was formerly the founder and managing shareholder of The Daniel Brown Law Group LLC.

Outside of his legal practice, Brown is a director, treasurer, and member of the executive committee of the National Sleep Foundation, serves on the editorial board of Sleep Review, and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. In addition, he is a faculty member at the Atlanta School of Sleep Medicine and on the National Advisory Board for Sleep Centers Management Institute.

Brown received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University, and his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Browning represents physician groups, ambulatory centers, independent diagnostic testing facilities, medical device suppliers and other healthcare entities on corporate and transactional issues. At Taylor English, she will work with clients on Medicare enrollment and reimbursement issues, navigating state licensure rules and the corporate practice of medicine doctrine, and maintaining compliance with federal laws including the Stark Law, Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, the Federal False Claims Act. Browning was formerly an associate attorney with The Daniel Brown Law Group LLC.

Browning is an active volunteer and member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Health Law Section of the Georgia Bar. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law with honors in the Health Law Certificate Program.
