Joint replacement technology company Zimmer Holdings Inc has appointed Michael J. “Mick” Farrell, CEO of ResMed Inc, to its board of directors.
Farrell has served as CEO and a member of the board of directors of ResMed since March 2013. ResMed has corporate headquarters in San Diego and its principal manufacturing facilities, as well as research and development facilities, in Sydney, Australia. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Farrell served as president-Americas of ResMed from 2011 to 2013 and as senior vice president of the global sleep apnea business unit from 2007 to 2011. Before that, he held positions of increasing responsibility in marketing and business development.
