ResMed received the 2014 Zenith Award for respiratory care industry excellence from the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC). The award was presented at the AARC’s 2014 Congress in Las Vegas. ResMed was one of six honorees selected from 400 eligible suppliers.
The Zenith Awards were established in 1989 to recognize the top manufacturers, service organizations, and supply companies in the respiratory care industry. Winners are selected by the AARC’s membership of more than 52,000 respiratory therapists and allied health practitioners around the world. Members consider an organization’s quality of equipment, sales personnel, responsiveness, service record, truth in advertising, and commitment to the respiratory care profession when voting.
ResMed’s Zenith Award follows a big year for the company’s respiratory care team. In September, ResMed introduced Astral, its revolutionary life support ventilation platform, in the United States when it launched the Astral 100 and Astral 150 devices. The Astral line offers unparalleled mobility and ease of use for patients suffering from neuromuscular disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and other adult and childhood respiratory disorders. Astral 150 received the prestigious Red Dot Product Design Award for 2014 from the world’s largest design competition.
