Joy Mangano broke a record at entertainment and lifestyle retailer HSN this past weekend, when she sold close to half a million “Comfort & Joy MemoryCloud pillows.” The entrepreneur sold more than 216,000 sets of her patent-pending pillows on July 26, shattering HSN’s previous record for the most units of a single item in a single day. Mangano bested her own previous record of 174,000 units sold in 1 day of her Forever Fragrant Odor Eliminating Set in 2010.
“All I can say is WOW! This was a hallmark day in my career and I am blessed to be able to share my products through the power of HSN,” Mangano says in a release. “I pride myself on offering products designed to make people’s lives a little easier.”
The “Summer Comfort Home” event was part of HSN’s month-long 37th birthday celebration where Mangano served up the best of her inventions and designs, headlined by her revolutionary Comfort & Joy MemoryCloud pillows that she says offer a lighter, loftier, and more affordable alternative to traditional memory foam with “6 layer TempTexx warming and cooling comfort technology.” Other products that did well this past weekend included Mangano’s Supreme Steam 900W Premier My Little Steamer with Storage Bag, Huggable Hangers 55 piece Best Set with 3 Jumbo Totes, and Biggest Better Beauty Case 3 piece Chic Set.
