Delta Air Lines introduced new sleep kits for passengers seated in the economy cabin on long-haul international flights. The kits include individual eyeshades plus earplugs to help customers get better rest when traveling between continents.

“Delta continues to focus on making travel better by introducing amenities that our customers find both helpful and comforting when they travel,” says Joanne Smith, Delta’s senior vice president-In-flight Service, in a release. “Adding new items in economy on international flights improves the quality of the product and helps our customers arrive at their destination rested, entertained, and refreshed.”

Delta is also installing full flat-bed seats on its widebody international aircraft, which will be completed by summer 2014.

Earlier this year, Etihad Airways launched a program to improve customer sleep quality on long-haul flights.
