The authors of a Joint Commission report titled “One Size Does Not Fit All: Meeting the Health Care Needs of Diverse Populations,” will hold a telephone news conference on Monday. The authors will be speaking about a newly developed framework designed to help health care organizations implement practices for meeting the needs of culturally diverse patients.

The framework is designed to help organizations provide safe, quality care to patients in an increasingly complex system. Organizations can use the framework to take an in-depth look at their current practices and direct efforts to address the cultural and linguistic needs of the populations they serve.

Authors Amy Wilson-Stronks, Ignatius Bau, and Susan Plaster will discuss the key components of the framework and answer questions.

The telephone conference will take place at 11 a.m. EST, 10 a.m. CST, 9 a.m. MST, and 8 a.m. PST on Monday, April 21. To join in dial (800) 351-4895 and enter pass code 862919.
